Customer Story: Anthony and Andrea’s First Home Build Journey
As a first home buyer, there’s three things to look for in your builder: price, quality and service.
At least, those are what were at the centre of Anthony and Andrea’s dream Homebuyers Centre Kingston 25 home, paired with the stunning Shoreline façade.
Avid travellers of Thailand and Bali, the couple dreamed of creating a light, bright and airy aesthetic so they felt as if they were always on holiday. The Kingston 25 floorplan was the perfect canvas for their vision, with two separate living areas, a stacked dining and kitchen with views of the backyard, and a central master bedroom.
‘We’ve taken a Hamptons-style approach with our finishes and design, but with a little more of a modern glean,’ says Andrea, who works as a teacher.
‘Our New Homes Consultant was fantastic and suggested we personalise the floorplan with an extended living space in lieu of the outdoor living design option. This gave us a little extra space in the backyard, so we decided to add the alfresco. It ended up being a really affordable option that we love! It’s the best place to entertain family and friends.’
When the Shoreline façade was released just as they were signing their contracts, they knew they had found the perfect pair.
‘My favourite feature of the house is our façade – our New Homes Consultant recommended it to us and we loved it immediately,’ says Andrea.
‘We visited a lot of display homes, looking at the quality of the builds. We found out pretty quickly that Homebuyers were the most competitive for us,’ explains Anthony, whose work in finance means he regularly enjoys their home office.
‘When we compared prices to similar builders, Homebuyers was the most cost effective and had the best inclusions. We love that we didn’t have to worry about the aggregate driveway, roller blinds and downlights after handover, as they were all included as standard.’
Why the decision was build over buying established
When Andrea and Anthony were ready to buy their first home, existing properties were their first port of call. However, they quickly realised that building a new home meant they could get all of their wants and needs, without breaking the bank. Homebuyers’ superior inclusions and upgrade options, including double glazed windows, metal roof and increased ceiling heights, made the builder an easy choice for the pair.

Our experience of the build process
As first home buyers who had heard an array of building horror stories, the pair were understandably nervous. Thankfully, the couple felt well taken care of. From securing their loan through Homebuyers Centre’s in-house finance company, Resolve Finance, to their weekly updates provided by their Site Supervisor, Homebuyers Centre’s customer service did not disappoint.
‘The build process overall was really straight forward and the staff were always so friendly. Whenever we had questions, they were very helpful in answering them,’ says Anthony.
‘We also went through Resolve Finance for the build and it was really straight forward and very easy, which was great given we were first homebuyers.’
As for a building highlight? The pair really couldn’t decide, with every stage of their journey – from slab pour to cabinetry installation – bringing something new and exciting.
‘It’s so amazing to watch the build come to life!’ says Anthony.
‘We would totally recommend Homebuyers Centre. I’m so happy with our home and I would do it again in a heartbeat.’
