Customer story: First homebuyers Anika & James
Anika and James walk us through their first home journey
In early 2018 Anika and James began their Homebuyers Centre homeownership journey. Since then the two have been sharing their experiences, home advice and styling tips on their Instagram account @Hausofourss, attracting the likes of 1.8k+ Homebuyers!
Looking to start a new and exciting chapter in their lives, Anika and James decided to build their very own home. After firstly falling in love with the Hayman façade, these first homebuyers narrowed their home design selection down to two floorplans: our Willow 25 and Harrison 25. Spoiler alert: they decided to build the 3-Bedroom, 2-Bathroom, 2-Car Garage, Harrison 25 with an extended butler’s pantry.
Pre-Construction
‘After months and months of searching, we decided on Homebuyers Centre. We originally wanted a 4-Bed with a study but ended up choosing a 3-Bed with no study BUT a beautiful Butler’s Pantry and more living space, which I think makes the house a home!’
From the windows to the walls: Colour selection
Working with their Pre-start team the two then sat down and decided what colours, textures and finishes they’d like in their home. Impressed with our standard inclusions range the two set themselves a limit of 3 upgrades:
- Higher Ceilings
- Hayman Façade
- Upgraded Architraves and Skirting Boards

‘We fell in love with the Harrison 25 floorplan but I had to have my Hayman facade’ – Anika says in hope to achieve a Hamptons style home.
Construction begins
Receiving weekly updates from their Site Manager, Anika and James were able to regularly review the progress of their home, documenting their initial slab-pouring and all stages until final handover. There were some items that needed attention along the way, but with open communication and a supportive team, all worries and queries were addressed quickly and reviewed regularly.

Welcome home
Just in time for Christmas Anika and James completed their final walkthrough and were able to move into their brand new home! Since then the two have well and truly turned their house into a Hamptons Style dream home and we’re obsessed with their styling and post-handover DIYs. A great way to stick to your budget and put your own personal touch on your home. But don’t just take our word for it, take a look for yourself.
